In this article I will discuss steps that you need to take if you want to start editing in Lightroom, whether you’ve already got Lightroom installed on your computer or not.
Step 1: Start from what lightroom says
I have never had to start from the web site for Lightroom. My favourite way to start my Lightroom work is to simply download the file that has the Lightroom name on it and open the Lightroom.html file in your web browser. I like to start by clicking on the Download and go ahead.
To open the file in your web browser you have several options, one is to open in a new tab or window on your web browser and then click on Download. This doesn’t work very well though because it doesn’t update the file correctly; you have to copy and paste the link from the page. If you only have Lightroom on your Mac or Linux, or on your mobile device you might simply have to use the Download in new tab or window that appears on the page instead. You’ll have to find out how to find and download Lightroom in your particular case.
The other option that you can use is for Mac users to save this file as a web address in your internet browser, like this:
Once downloaded all you have to do is start browsing around trying to find the right Lightroom file. On the page that says Download Lightroom, click on the Download button in the top right hand corner.
To open a new tab on my web browser and browse around you’re going to have to use the same options as you would when downloading the file. Once found there it is as easy as:
Open your browser and find the appropriate Lightroom file that you want to work with.
Now from the file name you can type in “download” or “save” where you want to download your Lightroom file.
You don’t need to enter the full filename of each document in the new tab or window because Lightroom automatically finds them for you when you open a new lightroom document.
Step 2: Get the image files to Lightroom
The first thing you need is to get the images that you are going to be working with. These are the image files you are going to be working with in Lightroom. You have three main types of images that you can choose from in lightroom: jpeg
